Official opening of water treatment plant to serve Owenteskna and Kilcar areas in Donegal

A €3.8 million water treatment plant will be officially opened in South West Donegal this morning.

The system will serve over 2,700 customers in the Owenteskna and Kilcar area.

The facility includes UV disinfection to protect against the risk of contamination from cryptosporidium

Managing Director Irish Water Eamon Gallen says this is part of a 300 million euro investment in County Donegal.
