Orange high fire risk warning extended to Donegal

Orange high fire risk warning extended to Donegal

A status orange high fire risk warning has been extended to Donegal.

Originally announced for Sligo, the warning will now include Donegal, and will be in place until midday on Friday.

The alert applies to all areas where hazardous fuels such as gorse, heather, dried grasses, and other vegetation exist.

Donegal County Council wishes to appeal to landowners and members of the public to
exercise caution and to take all necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of wildfires.
