There are over 100 people waiting for a bed at the two main hospitals in the North West this morning.
According to the latest trolley watch report, there were 56 people waiting at Sligo University Hospital while a further 47 were waiting at Letterkenny.
Nationally, there were 596 people waiting at hospitals across the country today.
The INMO has issued a statement today regarding the overcrowding situation, calling for meaningful and targeted interventions to prevent another predictable winter of out of control overcrowding and cancellations of elective procedures.
