Over 40 people waiting on hospital trollies in north west

There are 41 people waiting on hospital trollies in the North Wests two main hospitals today.

33 are waiting at Sligo University Hospital and 8 at Letterkenny university hospital.

21 people are currently waiting in the emergency department in Sligo and 12 elsewhere in the hospital.

There are 4 people waiting on hospital beds in the emergency department in Letterkenny.

In total there are 470 people waiting on trollies in Hospitals across the Country according to the latest INMO trolley watch figures.

The number of Covid patients in public hospitals has dropped below 900 for the first time in over a month.

It fell to 859 last night - with 58 in intensive care.
