Over 50 additional cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the north west

The Department of health has confirmed there has been 29 additional deaths from Covid-19.

776 new cases have also been confirmed.

Locally there were 48 new cases in Donegal, 5 in Sligo and less than 5 in Leitrim.

Across the Country there are 574 people receiving treatment Covid-19.

There are 7 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Sligo University Hospital, with 2 patients in ICU.

Meanwhile there are 8 people being treated in Letterkenny University Hospital with 3 in the ICU Unit.

373,280 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:

238,841 people have received their first dose.

134,439 people have received their second dose.
