Over 5,000 inpatients on waiting lists across North West in February

There were over 5,000 inpatients or day cases on waiting lists across North West hospitals during February.

According to the latest hospital waiting list figures from the Department of Health, there were 3,118 in Sligo University Hospital last month, and 2,050 in Letterkenny University Hospital.

In Sligo, 162 of which were children, while 56 of them were underage in Letterkenny.

Nationally, there were 95,983 inpatients on waiting lists across February, with 9,264 of them children.
