Over 830 dot ie domain names were registered across the north west region in the first half of 2019.
A domain name is, essentially, the address of a website.
Figures show Donegal had the highest number of Irish domains registered, with 492 followed by Sligo with 240 and Leitrim with 101.
Over 80% of all dot ie domains are registered by companies and the self-employed.

Chief Executive of IE Domain Registry David Curtin says while figures are down slightly on last year they remain high.
