Overcrowding levels in North West's hospitals remains high

Letterkenny University Hospital was the third most overcrowded hospital in the country today.

According to the latest figrues from the INMO, there were 37 people on trolleys there this morning. Sligo University Hospital was the fourth most overcrowded, with the 26 people waiting there bringing the total in the North West to 63.

University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest facility in Ireland with 106 people awaiting admission there, followed by Cork University Hospital, where there was 47.

Nationally, today's figures stand at 455.
