Pedestrian in serious condition following Mountcharles crash

The man who was hit in an early morning collision in Mountcharles has serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The collision, involving a car and a pedestrian, happened on Main Street at around 4.30am this morning.

The route remains closed at this time while Gardai remain at the scene.

Traffic management and diversions are in place.

The pedestrian is currently receiving treatment at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
