We're being warned to allow extra time for our journeys today following sub zero temperatures overnight.
Weather alerts for ice and snow remain in place across several counties in the West and North West including Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal until 6pm this evening.
Gardai in the region are urging caution on all roads even if gritted but especially on side roads where there are reports of black ice especially in the Manorhamilton and south Sligo areas.
The Barnesmore gap also remains a blackspot for snow, sleet and ice.
