The Health Minister has acknowledged that people waiting on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital for long periods of time should not be happening.
Minister Stephen Donnelly is in North Sligo and south Donegal today, opening three new primary care centres in Drumcliff, Grange and Donegal Town.
Speaking to Ocean FM news this afternoon, Minister Donnelly says the Government is taking overcrowding at Sligo very seriously and efforts are being made to address the issue.
He also believes that the primary care centres will also go a long way in alleviating the situation:
