Two males and a female were arrested and detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 after a number of items, believed to be pipe bombs were discovered at a property in County Sligo.
The female has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
During the course of the searches in the Geevagh and Highwood areas, the items, believed to be pipe bombs were discovered and the Garda Bomb Squad Unit was subsequently called to the scene.
It's also understood that neighbouring houses were evacuated as a precaution while the suspect devices were being made safe.
