There are fears that a West Sligo respite centre for people with dementia may have to close because of a cut in funding.
The Home from Home project operates from a house in Kilglass and is supported by the Alzheimers Society.
Sligo Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy says a local woman and her family have been providing the service on a voluntary basis with the help of a small amount of funding.
Cllr Healy says if the service stops, it will affect 16 families.
