Post mortem due on body of woman found in Sligo

A post mortem is due on the body of a woman who was found in a house in Sligo Town last night.

The woman was discovered shortly after 8.30pm and it's understood she had sustained head injuries.

The woman is believed to have been in her 50's and lived alone.

An investigation is continuing and the area remains sealed off this afternoon.
