Local pub-goers are among those paying the least for their alcoholic drinks.
A nationwide survey by the Irish Independent has found that sales for both lager and stout were among the cheapest nationwide in the north west.
The average cost for a pint of stout in Sligo is €5.48, in Donegal, the price is €5.52 while stout prices are highest in Leitrim at €5.54.
Unsurprisingly, drinkers in Dublin and Wicklow face the highest average price for stout.
Lager prices in Sligo are highest in the north west at €6.
That was followed by Leitrim at €5.86 and Donegal on €5.52.
The survey found nearly two in five publicans are now charging over €6 for a pint of stout, with lager drinkers being charged more than €6.50 in 35 per cent of pubs.
