Pringle hits out at public funding for greyhound industry

A Donegal TD has hit out at exchequer funding for the greyhound industry, saying the €19.2m earmarked for 2021 is more than goes to women's services.

Independent Thomas Pringle was speaking in the Dail on a Social Democrats proposal to reverse an increase of €2.4m in funding to the industry.

Deputy Pringle said the industry should not be supported by public money.
