Pringle stands by his decision to back no confidence motion in Tánaiste

A Donegal TD says the staging of the motion of no confidence in the Tánaiste last night was necessary to highlight the way Leo Varadkar and Fine Gael conduct their business.

TD's backed a government motion rejecting the Sinn Féin challenge to his position by 92 votes to 65.

Along with all government TDs present, nine Independents also voted to back Leo Varadkar.
