Producing Passports in Guest Houses could curtail criminal activity

International travellers visiting Hotels, Guesthouses and B&B’s in this Country may soon have to produce their passports on arrival to such facilities.

 

Calls have been made on the local authority in Leitrim to request the minister for Justice, Helen McEntee to introduce such legislation.

Kinlough based Councillor Justin Warnock says such a move would help those in the hospitality industry identify where guests are travelling from and even after Covid-19 Councillor Warnock predicts such a move would help curtail criminal activity.
