Progress being made on Sligo Bus Shelters

Progress is being made on acquiring locations for new bus shelters in Sligo town and county.

Sligo County Council are to carry out technical surveys of footpaths in a number of locations to ensure they can accommodate bus shelters.

Once completed, the local authority will seek tender contracts to carry out the works with hope the first shelters will be installed by late 2020.

Sligo Independent Councillor, Marie Casserly says it's great to finally see progress on the shelters.
