Progress on respite services locally 'too slow' - Kenny

Progress is being made with regards to respite services locally however it's coming from a very low standard.

That's according to Sligo Leitrim Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny who says the only facility available to people in the Sligo Leitrim area at the moment is in Tullaghan which, he says, is completely overwhelmed.

Deputy Martin Kenny was speaking in the Dail during a motion on Respite Care Services.

Deputy Kenny says while efforts are being made in Sligo to increase services, it's nowhere near enough to cope with demand:
