Proper investment needed early years services

It's time the government invests properly in the early year’s sector.

That's according to Sligo/Leitrim SIPTU members who are recently met with local TD and Minister of State at the Department of Health, Frank Feighan to highlight growing concerns.

They says teachers and providers are leaving the sector which they fear will continue to spiral out of control without government intervention.

Anne O'Reilly is a SIPTU Regional Organiser and says the Covid-19 Pandemic showed how critically important the early years sector is.
