Property prices increase in the north west

There's been an increase in house prices across the north west.

The latest REA Average House Price Index shows prices in Sligo have risen the most at 3.2% followed by Leitrim at 2.2% in the last three months.

The average house price in Donegal is now 95,000 - this is unchanged in the last 12 months.

In Sligo that figure is significantly more at €127,500 and current prices in Leitrim stand at €117,500.

Joe Brady, from REA Brady in Carrick-on-Shannon says prices will continue to rise in the county as new houses are not being built.
