Public meetings to take place on Bus Eireann Expressway service

Public meetings to take place on Bus Eireann Expressway service

Changes to the Bus Eireann's Expressway service would result in the death knell of rural bus services.

That's according to Dermot O Leary, general secretary of the National Bus and Rail Union which is launching a nationwide campaign against a so-called restructuring of the service.

As part of the campaign, public meetings will take place throughout the country, including in Tubbercurry, Co Sligo and in Donegal Town.

The Tubbercurry meeting will be on December 6th in Cawley's hotel.

The meeting in Donegal Town will be on December 19th in the Abbey Hotel.

Both meetings will start at 7:30pm.

Mr O'Leary told Ocean FM News why his union is opposing changes to the Expressway service:
