Public transport in North West needs to be transformed - Kenny

A Sligo Leitrim TD has backed calls for what has been deemed as affordable, reliable and safe public transport across Sligo and Leitrim.

Deputy Martin Kenny was speaking during a Sinn Féin motion last night which the party says, aims to transform public transport across the country.

The motion also calls for the urgent rollout of the Connecting Ireland rural bus plan while also addressing the issues of antisocial behaviour on trains and buses.

Deputy Kenny says it's past the stage where these issues need to be considered, and says it's time for action:
