Public urged not to report crimes on social media

Gardaí in Donegal are appealing to the public to avoid reporting crimes to its social media page.

In a post on social media, Gardaí say the organisation's Garda Síochána Donegal Facebook page is not monitored 24/7.

In the case of an emergency, the public are advised to contact 999 or 112.
