Former teacher warns of challenges facing Ukrainian students in Ireland

A former secondary school Vice-Principal is warning that there are many logistical challenges facing Ukrainian students that are now attending Irish schools.

 

Since the start of the Russian invasion in the Ukraine many students from there now find themselves in Irish primary and post primary schools.

Sean Wynne is a former vice principal at Drumshanbo Vocational School.  He says that the language barrier is major obstacle for students and teachers.

 

The former secondary school teacher has called on the Department of Education to provide more IT facilities so that Ukrainian students can partake in online classes being hosted in their native language.
