The R290 at Dunamary has reopened following a two-vehicle collision on Monday evening.
A woman in her 50's was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the other car, a man, was brought to Sligo University Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The road was closed for a period following the accident, but has now reopened this afternoon.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
