Another property price survey out today shows that house prices in Leitrim saw a slightly higher increase than Sligo.
The national survey by Real Estate Alliance has been looking at trends over the last three months.
The price of the average three-bed semi in County Sligo has increased to €227,500, up 2.2% from €222,500 in the last three months, according to a national survey by Real Estate Alliance.
Across the county this quarter, the average time taken to sell currently sits at five weeks.
The survey shows that across the county, 30% of purchasers were first-time buyers, and 30% of purchasers were from outside of the county.
A total of 20% of sales in the county this quarter were attributed to landlords leaving the market.
In Sligo town, prices this quarter rose by 1.9% to an average of €275,000, and prices in Tubbercurry rose by 2.9% to €180,000.
The price of the average second-hand three-bed semi in County Leitrim has increased to €189,500, up 2.4% from €185,000 in the last three months, according to a national survey by Real Estate Alliance.
Across the county, the average time taken to sell fell by one week to a total of four.
The survey shows that across the county, 70% of purchasers were first-time buyers and 30% of purchasers were from outside of the county.
A total of 37% of sales in the county this quarter were attributed to landlords leaving the market.
Carrick-on-Shannon prices rose by 1.8% this quarter to an average of €224,000.
Summer is said to have brought more buyers from overseas, both returning emigrants and people with no connection to the area.
