Recent events in Dromahair set to be raised in Dail

The recent events in Dromahair are set to be raised on the floor of the Dail this afternoon.

During Leaders questions, Sligo Leitrim Independent TD Marian Harkin is expected to highlight the need for better communication and support from the Government to local communities when they are asked to integrate migrants into their area.

It comes as 155 refugees are to take up residence in the Abbey Manor Hotel in Dromahair shortly, however some members of the community are concerned that there are not enough facilities locally for them.

Hundreds of people took part in a peaceful protest outside the hotel last Wednesday, highlighting those concerns.

Both the Taoiseach and Justice Minister McEntee are scheduled to respond to Deputy Harkin.
