There's been a record number of home commencements in Sligo for first two months of this year.
According to data from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, there have been commencement notices for 60 homes in County Sligo.

It's a significant increase on the same period last year, where there were just nine units and a record for the period since the data series began in 2015.
7,056 new homes commenced nationally in a record-high first two months of the year, up 72% compared to the first two months of last year.
