Regional Health Forum to hear calls for additional parking at Sligo University Hospital

It's hoped that there will be much needed additional car parking facilities at Sligo University Hospital in the near future.

It follows several complaints from members of the public over the shortage of spaces on the grounds of the facility.

There's also ongoing concern over the distance between the current car park and the doors of the hospital, particularly for those with a disability.

The issue is to be raised at the Regional Health Forum West later today by Cllr Donal Gilroy, who says while its anticipated extra spaces will be added, the ultimate solution would be a multi-storey car park:
