A new remembrance and reflection garden as an upgrade of local playgrounds has taken place in town of Manorhamilton on Monday afternoon.
Manorhamilton's Garden of Remembrance and Reflection, is situated opposite Hamilton's Castle.
The official opening was conducted by the Leas Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council and local councillor Seán McDermott and local historian Dominic Rooney.
Today's event marked the culmination of the development over many years on a new focal point for all in the town and greater catchment area as well as for all visitors to North Leitrim's capital.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Manorhamilton Tidy Towns member Margaret Connolly is encouraging people to visit the garden.
