There's renewed calls for drivers who hold a full licence to be retested.
It's thought that the move may promote better driver behaviour in the North West and further afield.
Meanwhile figures released earlier this week revealed that the Sligo Leitrim Garda division recorded the highest number of uninsured drivers in the country between 2023 and 2024.
