A local councillor for the Maugheraboy/Ballydoogan areas of Sligo town says she is shocked and saddened over reports that two young teenagers were allegedly sexually assaulted in the area at the weekend.
Fianna Fail Cllr Rosaleen O Grady is asking anyone with information to go to the gardai.
Cllr O Grady says the Ballydoogan, Maugheraboy, Oakfield areas are quiet residential parts of Sligo town.
But she says that what is now alleged to have happened is shocking.
She says it's very worrying and has left people unsettled

Meanwhile, gardaí are continuing their investigations into the alleged assaults, which are believed to have taken place between 8pm and 10pm last Saturday evening.
