Reports of fireball sightings across Donegal

There have been reports of sightings of a fireball shooting across Co. Donegal on Wednesday night.

The International Meteor Organisation has so far recorded 876 reports of a 'glowing flash' in the skies.

The UK Meteor Network says initial inquiries indicate the object was space debris.

Calculations by the network show the debris would land in the Atlantic Ocean, south of the Scottish Hebrides.
