Rescue 118 airlift casualty to Mayo hospital

Rescue 118. Sligo's Search and Rescue Helicopter, attended an incident yesterday in Westport, Co Mayo.

At 15:48pm, Mayo Mountain Rescue Team were contacted by the National Ambulance Service to help a male injured in a quad bike accident.

MMRT and NAS were then transported to the casualty by local farmers and family.

The casualty was then airlifted to Mayo University Hospital, with the team members assistance.

Efforts were stood down just before 5pm.
