A multi-agency search operation including the Rescue 118 helicopter is ongoing in the Achill Island area of Mayo.
A search began after an alarm was raised after reports of a missing person on Achill Island was raised on Friday night.
A number of agencies have been involved in the search including Coast Guard units from Achill and Malin Head, the Achill RNLI and Gardaí.
