Retired PP of St. Anne's in Sligo, Fr. Dominick Gilooly has died

Retired Parish Priest of St. Anne's Church in Sligo, Fr. Dominick Gilooly has died.

Fr. Gilooly served the local community for 41 years.

He retired in 2015 but remained on at St. Anne's serving as curate.

In a statement issued last evening, St. Anne's Church said that Fr. Gilooly served the community with devotion and love for over four decades.

They also thanked all who were so caring of him in the parish and for the exceptional care he received in Sligo University Hospital these past five weeks.

His funeral details have yet to be announced.
