Return to the good times? Families head to Lapland from Knock this Christmas

Ireland West Airport Knock had its first chartered flight to Lapland this month since the boomtimes in 2007.

Management at the airport have confirmed that the flight with a hundred people on board set off on the 12th of December.

The one night trip to Lapland to see Santa and all the elves costs no less than €800 per child and €900 per adult.

Donal Healy, Head of marketing at Ireland West Airport Knock says it's the first such trip from Knock in years:
