The World Day of Prayer Service will not take place in Taunagh Parish Church in Riverstown, Co. Sligo.
Due to a high level of Covid-19 in the community, the decision was taken in the interest of safety.
The service takes place on the first Friday of March each year and an alternative date for the local area has yet to be established.
Damian Shorten is the Lay Pastor of the Riverstown Group of Parishes.
