Road users are being urged to be vigilant following overnight heavy rainfall in the North West.
A yellow weather alert is in place until 8am however surface water may linger on some routes throughout the morning.

The warning for Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal has been in place since 10pm last night with Met Eireann advising that localised flooding is possible.
