Warnings have been issued to road users about surface water in many areas following heavy overnight rain.
The Road Safety Authority has reminded motorists to slow down and allow extra stopping distance on the wet roads.
The wet weather is going to be followed by a cold snap, with the risk of icy roads tonight.
