Roads in North West remain treacherous as cold snap continues

Roads in the North West remain in a treacherous condition following another night of sub zero temperatures.

A status orange low temperature and ice warning is still in place until 11 this morning in most parts of the country apart from Donegal.

A status yellow low temperature and ice warning will remain in place for the entire country until lunchtime tomorrow.

Motorists are being warned to prepare for black ice even on treated roads.
