Rural work hubs need to be established in Sligo

Calls are being made on the local authority in Sligo to establish a plan in relation to the provision of remote working hubs across the County.

The calls are being made by local Councillor Thomas Walsh.

Cllr. Walsh says that the Council should be making applications to access funding for such projects that was announced in budget 2021.

The Fine Gael Councillor says that  remote is now central to rural development policies and since the outbreak of Covid-19 more workers and employers are deciding to engage with the remote working model
