Organisers of a protest outside the Dail later this month against forestry in Leitrim say they now expect to be joined by others from outside the county.
Sean McLoughlin, of the Save Leitrim Group, says people in counties all along the west coast are now complaining of communities being destroyed by forestry.
In Leitrim, almost 19% of land is under forestry compared to 11% nationally.
Meetings by those opposed by forestry in Leitrim have been held throughout the county, with the protest outside the Dail due to take place on January 30th.

Sean McLoughlin says the issue is not confined to Leitrim.
