Although the new school year is still only in its first week - it's already been confirmed that there will be disruption for students and teachers later this month.
School secretaries are to stage a one-day strike on September 15th.
Forsa, which represents the workers say they've been let down by the Government who still have not implemented standardised pay and conditions for secretaries.
A demonstration will take place outside the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform on September 15th.
Frank Consadine is member of the Forsa union and a school secretary based in the North West.
He says FORA members have been left frustrated by the lack of action by Department officials over the summer months.
