Public transport will run and schools will remain open in the week ahead despite sub-zero temperatures which are promised.
That’s the message following the National Emergency Coordination Group meeting in Dublin today.
A status yellow warning has been extended until Friday while a status orange low temperature warning is in place for the country until midday tomorrow.
While, a yellow snow and ice warning has also been issued for County Donegal that will come into effect on Sunday night, with falls of sleet and snow expected overnight and on Monday morning.
Speaking following the meeting, Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien had this advice:
