Seamus Kilgannon to contest local elections

Seamus Kilgannon has thrown his hat into the ring for the upcoming local elections.

The Fianna Fáil representative will run in the Sligo Strandhill Municipal district.

Mr Kilgannon has previously served as a councillor, after being co-opted onto the council twice. He was most recently elected in 2014, after previously losing his seat in 2009.

The former director of elections for Fianna Fáil had previously ran in the Sligo Drumcliffe Municipal district, but will stand for election in Sligo Strandhill having relocated there.
