Search of Cavan site where Kevin Lunney was abducted and assaulted ends

The search of a site in Cavan where Gardaí believe Kevin Lunney was brutally assaulted has ended.

Investigators carried out a forensic examination on a metal container which was found in Ballinagh.

It's been a week to the day since Mr. Lunney - who is an executive with Quinn Industrial Holdings - was abducted and assaulted.

The 50-year-old received life changing injuries, and a cross border investigation continues.

Fr. Gerry Comiskey is Parish Priest in Drumlan Co. Fermanagh who has met with Mr. Lunney in Hospital.

He recalls Pope John Paul the 2nd's address to the Mafia in Sicily in 1993, and says the address is also relevant here.
