Second Sea Road at Gibraltar closed due to flooding

Sligo County Council has confirmed that the Second Sea Road is closed at Gibraltar due to flooding caused by high tide.

Road signage is in place and motorists are requested to use alternative routes.

Overnight rain has resulted in excess water being reported on a number of roads this morning across the region while strong winds has also resulted in fallen debris on a number of roads.

Met Eireann have also issued Status Yellow Wind warning for Donegal.

The warning is advising of Windy conditions with the possibility coastal flooding.

The warning will  remain in place until 8 a.m.
